CCCI 2017- day 1

The Conference on Creative and Cultural Industries  kicks off with an exiting day of presentations, discussions and and inspiring afternoon programme for those who would like to get to know the creative city of Maastricht in more depth. In the morning, we will gather at the recently opened Forza Fashion House where Jürgen Enninger and Paradox Fine Arts will tell us about how they are helping artists and encouraging a vibrant creative culture in their cities. During the following discussion panel, we will set these insights in a bigger perspective by asking questions like How can a city support local creatives? What is the future of art academies?, and for the artists, What is my role in the creative industries? Should I stay or should I go?

After a hopefully fruitfull discussion, we will reload our energy with a lunch provided by Maastricht-LAB who will also take us on the SUPER DUPER CREATIVE HUBS BUS TOUR OF MAASTRICHT. During this tour you can visit a number of creative hubs and locations in the city. Finishing at De Brandweer, participants can further discuss in a more casual setting on the theme ‘Student and the city’.

All in all it is promising to be an interesting day in which valuable insight can be learned and shared.
